Living DBT-Maintenance GroupThe DBT Modules offer an intensive way of learning about your feelings and your actions.
There is a focus on getting to know more about your feelings, and creating alternatives to the actions that can make life feel worse. There can be such relief in understanding something about what might go on inside you, and how doing things differently can help. However, it can be very difficult to keep some of these new ideas in mind when you are faced with challenging situations in your day-to-day life after the Module has finished.
The Day Clinic offers an ongoing LIVING DBT Maintenance Group that enables you to carry on linking the DBT approach to the daily difficulties you face. Those difficulties might be in getting up in the morning, going to work, finding ways to relax and have pleasure, and engaging with other people in your life. As you work on including the skills and understanding from the DBT Modules it can feel important to have regular contact with other people engaged in a similar journey, and to receive structured input form facilitators specialising in this kind of approach.
The LIVING DBT Maintenance Group runs every second Wednesdays from 17:00 – 18:30 at The Day Clinic. The Maintenance Group is for everyone who has attended at least one DBT Module.
The support group will end on the 11th of December 2019 for the year. The cost per session is R450. Booking in advance is essential.
